The night is long, the dreams are dark

Although you try you can’t drive them from your head

The sunlight’s warm, the rain is cool

It’s worth remembering you’re a very long time dead

The blood will pour just like tears upon the ground

We recognise you, identify you, all you who use oppression as a tool

To further your ends, well, be assured

That we won’t rest until we’ve seen the back of you

And evil people who feather their nests

Using money that should go to the poor

The karmic wheel is now in spin

And it beats a path directly to your door

Is the way they use control

They can’t take your soul

They sing of freedom of choice and using power

And as the tears soak in the ground
